Itinerary Breakdown

A journey to the Eternal Blue Sky (Remember itinerary is flexible for your needs)

Fly from Ulaanbaatar to Ulgii. Meet your BREATHE ALTAI team. Drive through the majestic Altai landscape (approx 3 hours). Welcome dinner with traditional dishes. Transfer to the Observation camp. Snow leopard sightings are most probable during the late evening, night, and at dusk (twilight), making these times the primary focus for daily leopard observation.
Continue observation till morning. Guests will transfer from the observation post back to the main camp to relax in a more comfortable environment, enjoy local cuisine prepared by a professional chef, and take a shower.
An immersive day spent entirely focused on the search for the Ghost of the Mountains. Our guides and park rangers will maintain a continuous vigil from key vantage points. Between scans, guests are encouraged to relax, enjoy the mountain quiet, and soak in the raw, stunning landscape.
Continue the quest for a Snow Leopard sighting. Later, gain insight into the authentic nomadic lifestyle by visiting a local herder to observe their traditional methods of wild herding. Conclude the day with a memorable scenic horseback journey across the pristine steppe.
Experience a full day of cultural immersion and wildlife tracking. Continue Snow Leopard observation, visit an Eagle Hunter's family, handle a trained eagle, witness the preparation and training process of hunting pelts, and join the Eagle Hunter for a traditional horseback hunting excursion.
Continue Snow Leopard observation, followed by a trip to the local town center to explore the creation process of traditional handicrafts, including embroidery and felt rugs.
Continue Snow Leopard observation in the morning. In the afternoon, we transfer back to Ulgii (approximately 3.5 hours). Conclude the day by attending a local Kazakh Ethnic Concert.
Fly to Ulaanbaatar.
